Made of four-inch thick Northern hard rock maple, this solid and sturdy Chinese Chopping Block is a welcome addition to a busy kitchen. Featuring classic end grain construction, the Chinese Chopping Block is more durable than regular chopping blocks and is also easier on knives. The edge of the knife is absorbed by the forgiving wood surface, keeping blades sharper longer while minimizing nicks and gouges, which prevents bacteria from entering the wood. The checkerboard pattern adds a decorative element to this board, making it a fun as well as functional choice for both casual and professional culinary enthusiasts.

The Chinese Chopping Block is featured with the standard Boos Block Cream Finish with Beeswax, to seal and protect the wood. The Boos block cream penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood, leaving a silky wax barrier to lock moisture in, and allows your board to be used as a cutting surface. This finish can be maintained with John Boos Mystery Oil or Boos Board Cream.
