(Sorghum brooms, made from the long tassels of a plant related to sugarcane, were invented late in the 18th century by a Massachusetts farmer who went on to invent a machine to manufacture them—an important event in the Industrial Revolution.) The tools’ handles are ergonomically designed for safe, easy use.

Wrought by hand of heavy-gauge 5/8-in. square steel stock, the Prairie Tool Set stand is finished with a rich distressed patina protected by a high-density scratch-resistant coating.
